Elena Valencia is a proud New Yorker based in Barcelona. Constantly inspired by community building through movement, Elena loves focusing on social and club dance styles such as lindy hop, hip hop, waacking, and UK jazz fusion. This passion for social dances lead her to receive the Rosen Fellowship through Brooklyn College. Through this she studied and taught swing dance in Barcelona while attending and competing at major festivals throughout Europe. After completing her year abroad, Elena trained at Steps on Broadway, completed the Professional Semester at Broadway Dance Center, and taught at Broadway Dance Center Children & Teens.

She has furthered her training at Herrang Dance Camp and Dance Italia as a scholarship recipient. While in NYC she performs with Wild Rhythm Dance Company, and The Vanaver Caravan. Currently Elena is diving into the world of tap dancing through Escola Luthier’s Professional Tap Program.
